Keith Singleton profiles him
In his youth Lynton was regarded as one of the best amateurs in the game. He played as a fullback for the Woolston (Warrington) team, and had previously also starred for the Lancashire Schoolboys at Rugby Union.
In 1992 he joined the professional ranks with Sheffield Eagles with whom he had a first-class RL stint, including a Wembley triumph, being mainly used as a goalkicking winger.
He then moved on to the Doncaster Dragons for a spell to grace the NFP with his undoubted pace and excellent kicking game. He will prove a quality signing for Town.
