Threequarter/stand off
Again Jon was persuaded to link up with Town in the first instance via the academy team. He quickly showed great skill while starring for the successful 'budgies babes' of 1997. He has a great pair of hands and quick brain, a factor that saw him in the main utilised as a stand off with the academy. However his other attributes include pace, this has seen the alliance side play him in a centre or wingers role - with Jon looking comfortable in whatever shirt he wears.

He has recently impressed the coaching staff so much in the alliance outings that Jon has staked a claim for first team action. He is a youngster with so much talent that surely he will go on to make a name for himself, and the club, in rugby league circles.
