Half back/Hooker
Here is another product from the Town academy. In the mid nineties 'kipper' was a scrum half with speed off the mark, which coupled with an elusive step made him a star of that team. Since then he has had rather uneven career at Derwent Park, in and out of the first team, and in the main his role has been in the Number 9 shirt. He has also had occasions when he was the first choice goal kicker.

Perhaps it was the frustration of such stop/start progress that induced 'kipper' to make a move to join Whitehaven this season. A move that was curtailed swiftly by the marras, with them perhaps realising he is always destined to be a Town man. Hopefully now he will slot into a regular role for the club.
