Iggesund and Town enjoy People PowerStaff of Iggesund Paperboard will be helping Workington Town in the coming season. The staff are now collecting money to sponsor a player or two with the company agreeing to match whatever is raised by their staff. The idea was David Bowe's who works at the plant and has been a longtime Town fan. Whilst at Chorley Lynx he saw mention of their commercial packages and its cost. He reckoned it would be good to sponsor something for Town. His enquiries for Workington led to player sponsorship and so the Pledge a Pound to Town campaign is now on and David hopes to raise enough to sponsor a player in the coming season. If the campaign is successful, Iggesund would also sponsor a player. Can you and your mates do the same? Will your firm follow Iggesund's fine example?
On the back of the Iggesund campaign, Yankees have agreed to sponsor Jamie Beaumont for the second year running. Kent Walker has pledged more sponsorship from his other pubs. Kent himself an ex-academy star with Town has always supported the club with sponsorship and his continued support is welcomed. |
