Gary Ruddy signs for Town

Gary Ruddy has joined Workington Town. One of the game's highest try scorers, the 28 year-old centre/wing has chosen to develop his career with West Cumbria's finest in the coming season.

The second man to play for all four Cumbrian clubs, he now joins Gary Charlton. Ruddy played for Carlisle Border Raiders prior to their merger with Barrow Braves; whilst in Raiders colours he scored a fantastic 20 tries in his 1st season and was the division top try scorer in his 2nd season with 30 trys.

Along with many Border Raiders players he moved to Barrow to play two seasons scoring 27 tries. He also enjoyed a 12 month stint with Whitehaven scoring 10 tries in a single season.
