Presentation Night

The Academy Team held their presentation evening in the Derwent Lounge on Friday 5th October.

Keith Singleton (Academy Manager) took on the role of MC and guest of honour Lokeni Savelio presented the trophies.

The main awards were awarded to

Academy Player of the Year: Malcolm Caton
Top Try scorer: David Hanley
Academy Players Player of the Year: Barrie Murdock
Supporters Club player of the year: Kevin Brown
Coach's player of the year (Tom Mitchell Trophy): Barrie Murdock/Gary Anderson
Senior Coach's Award: Andrew Cartwright
Club presidents Award: Kevin Brown
Team Managers Award: Mark Foster

*All the coaching staff were present for the evening, as were many of the board of directors.

Everyone who had sponsored the Academy team was also invited as were the parents and families of all the players. The Derwent Lounge was packed.

All the players received a framed club badge as a memento of a magnificent season and the Workington-Town.Net website provided a full copy of all the match reports and pictures that had been taken throughout the season on a commemorative CD.

After the presentations the players and all the invited guest let their hair down and boogied the night away with a disco and buffet. A great evening was had by all.
